Diablo III Patch 2.2.1 Patch Notes

A minor bug fix patch also brings user interface changes

Diablo III Patch 2.2.1
A minor patch has arrived for Diablo III, updating Diablo III on the PC to version 2.2.1. This is a small upgrade for the larger Patch 2.2. Patch 2.2.1 includes many bug fixes, and some improvements and tweaks to the user interface. One small but very appreciated fix is that the Greater Rift Completion window, that pops up at the end of every Greater Rift, can now be closed with a keystroke. Here are the official Diablo III PC Patch 2.2.1 patch notes.

Diablo III patch 2.2.1 is now live in the Americas for PC! Check out the full patch notes below to learn all about the latest changes.

Important: Please note that you will not be prompted to download patch 2.2.1 until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is in the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 2.2.1 is live until those regions have also patched.

Another user interface change with this patch is for the Blood Shard display, which has moved to the bottom-right section of the inventory window. The Rift Guardian Hamlin has also been improved, so that his spawn and death animations take less time; previously they took so long that he could be killed right before the timer ran out in a Greater Rift and it would not give the proper completion, because of the length of the death animation. This small patch provided various bug fixes of that nature, to improve the game for the rest of Season 3, before the major update patch 2.3 arrives with larger changes.
