Legendary Drop Buff Arrives on Patch 2.2.1 PTR
An expansive community buff on the test realm encourages PTR play
As seen above, the full list of bonuses in this PTR community buff is as follows:
- Receive twice as many Blood Shards.
- Treasure Goblins appear in pairs.
- All experience rewards are increased by 300%.
- Your chance to find Legendary items is increased by 2000%.

As you may have noticed, Patch 2.2.1 recently became available for testing on the PTR. You can check out the patch notes here, and if you’re looking to participate, you can find out how to do so here.
Originally this patch was not going to require a significant amount of testing as it would have had a relatively small impact for the Americas, Europe, and Asia regions. Earlier today, though, we implemented a number of server performance optimizations that we believe would benefit from additional testing. To facilitate stress testing, we’re going to implement the 2000% increase to the Legendary Item Drop Rate again on the PTR.
Currently, we still do not plan on opening up the PTR Feedback or PTR Bug Report forums, since most of these changes will have no noticeable impact on your gameplay. That said, if you encounter a bug while on the PTR then please feel free to leave a comment about it on the PTR patch notes.

This encouragement to play on the PTR is primarily to stress test the server. Beyond the many fixes listed in the patch 2.2.1 patch notes, players can also test out improvements for client stuttering and freezing issues since patch 2.2.0 arrived.
