End of Season 3 Kicks Off a Busy Week in Diablo III
The massive patch 2.3.0 and Season 4 will go live this week
Season 3 in Diablo III ended on Sunday, and all Seasonal characters have transferred over to the non-Seasonal side of the game. The end of the Season is just the start of the fun, as this week will bring a slew of updates and new opportunities. Patch 2.3 is expected to go live on Tuesday, and Season 4 will begin on Friday, August 28. Here are some tips for getting through it all.
Between the Seasons
This week is the rollover time between the seasons, with Season 3 fully ended and Season 4 not yet begun. All the Season 3 heroes have been converted into standard characters. While all the items from the Seasonal side can now be accessed and transferred into the regular stash, if your stash is overflowing it would be better to wait. After patch 2.3 arrives, the new Legendary power extraction feature of Kanai's Cube will help clear the stash of Legendary items. Items from Season 3 will be available in the in-game mail system for 29 days, giving ample time to bring them over after the patch.Era 4 Begins
The heroes and rankings that aren't part of a Season are instead grouped up by Era. Era 3 ended along with Season 3 on Sunday, and Era 4 has begun. The Era 4 rankings are already filling up, and the leaderboards reach new heights with the extra powers available to heroes in patch 2.3.

Era 3 has now ended, and with it, the end of Season 3.
In Diablo III, an “Era†refers to a specific period of time in which non-Seasonal leaderboards are active. At the end of an Era, all current non-Seasonal leaderboard standings will be wiped and players will be unable to attain new leaderboard ranks until a new Era begins. Similar to Seasons, players will be able to view previous rankings in-game and as well as on our website.
Era 3 ended Sunday, August 23. Era 4 has now begun, and Season 4 is expected to begin on Friday,
August 28.
All heroes created during Season 3 have become non-Seasonal and are able to compete on the Era 4 leaderboards. For more information on the end of the Season and upcoming Season rollover, click here.
