I keep hearing complaints about zDPS being leechers and gaining to much experience and that blizzard should do something about it. I'm going to talk about this fallacy, one point at a time. First point: zDPS are leechers I'm going to use my zDPS WD as an example. My zDPS is far from a leecher, but is actually a major and absolutely crucial asset to any high GR game. zDPS WD perma roots, horrifies, and stuns monsters making GR runs smooth and much more rewarding as their are less deaths and more exp per hour since theres zero down time for anyone plus you don't lose your exp boost from yellow pools. zDPS WD buffs and debuffs. With BBV, toxin gem, and haunt (poisoned spirits) the total dps of each player increases by and estimated 75-95% depending on how much damage boosts you already get through skills and what ur current atk speed is. Essentially, with a 3 dps team, the zDPS WD is worth between 2 and 1/2, and 3 dps chars, not to mention the amount of CC he has making him essentially a four player team in one. Second point: zDPS shouldnt get more exp then dps. This is another fallacy. As I stated in the first point, one zDPS WD is worth between 2 and 1/2, and 3 dps therefore, deserves to receive 2 and 1/2, and 3 times the experience as any dps would receive. Third point: Blizzard should do something about the experience gain. This one I agree with, but only because WD get less exp then a sader as a sader can use leorics crown with ruby, while a wd is stuck with tiki. zDPS WD should recieve the most experience of any other classes since they are the most valuable build in the game right now and have the biggest impact on the groups overall exp/leg/bs per hour. This can be resolve by adding a mojo with at least 41% exp gain as minimum. But really it should be more like 100% since that would giv them a commanding lead on exp gain then all the other classes. |

This topic has led to some name calling, so I'll be locking it before it gets out of hand. Just for everyone's reference, we posted on perma-stun builds here, and on builds in group games that prioritize experience gain over damage output here. You're welcome to reopen this discussion, provided it remains constructive and free of name calling. |
