| From my point of view, the Hellfire Event (Ubers, Keywarden and Hellfire Ring & Amulet) is a complete letdown. I'll elaborate on why I very much dislike it: 1) Farming Keys is a pain. -Keywarden can spawn anywhere in the map. They might be hiding in that tiny corner that you missed earlier. -Key drop-rate is not 100% -There's no icon on the mini-map to indicate where the key dropped (not a big deal in an organized group but it is really annoying in pub games) 2) Ubers are clearly outdated content -Magda... She survives longer than any other bosses because of her annoying shield. She used to be threatening back in D3V when Ubers were relevant content. -Ubers are easy to kill, especially if you can do GR with ease. We no longer need a good party (CM Wizard...) to do it. We can close our eyes and kill them. -Magda again... We now have a new Magda encounter (Boss) but the Uber version is still the old version + Arcane Sentry. 3) Hellfire Ring... -It has now become a XP Ring for people doing speed GR. -The proc is outdated 4) Hellfire Amulet... -Too random -Too frustrating -Not fun -Too random -Too random -Too random The Hellfire event is outdated and the reward is unpredictable (in a very bad way). It is not something that I enjoy. Every time I spend a day (with my clan) farming for those keys, we always end up regretting it. It takes forever to get those damned keys and we end up with absolutely nothing to show. *Keys need to have a 100% drop-rate with a chance of getting more keys *It should be easier to find those KW. I suggest that we mark them on the mini-map once we're close enough to them (much like Bounty targets) *Ubers should be brought up to date *Hellfire Amulet is too random. Perhaps it should always come with a socket. Perhaps we should be able to pick which passive we want. It needs another guaranteed affix *Hellfire Ring should be more unique. IMO, it should have a very powerful Legendary affix | ||

| Great discussion! We agree with many of the points debated here, so we’re going to be looking at the Infernal Machine event in the future. Right now there is a disparity between the footwork required to participate in the event and the reward for completing it, so we’re currently looking at our options to better align the two. We’re currently aiming to have a solution in place for the next major content patch, but of course as a work in progress that’s subject to change. (And before you crazy diamonds ask: Patch date is still TBD. Patch content is still WIP. We’ve no additional info to share at this time.) | ||

But this also tells me something else... buckle up people, Season 3 is going to be a long one! Wyatt Cheng made a post that mentions how long Season 3 may be. We feel that Season 1 was on the long side, and Season 2 was a bit too short. Right now, though, it looks like Season 3 will be at least 4 months long, and we're still planning on giving a 2 week notice before it ends. If you want to check out Wyatt's post then just click here. While we’re on the topic of Seasons, I want to share some information regarding Season length. We generally feel that Season 1 was on the long side, and that Season 2 was on the short side. We want to strike a balance between having enough points in time when we can all commence this journey together, but also allow enough time for characters to mature. Expect Season 3 to be at least 4 months long. While the exact end date is not yet known, we plan on once again giving 2 weeks’ notice before Season 3 ends. | ||

When you say the next "Major Content Patch", are you referring to the Season 4 patch? Good question! I do mean the patch that is intended to arrive after Season 3 ends, and before Season 4 starts. | ||
