Diablo III Patch 2.1.2 Released for PC and Consoles
The patch is live on the PC, and the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles (Updated)
Diablo III patch 2.1.2 is now live in the Americas for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One! Check out the full PC patch notes below to learn all about the latest changes. To view our console patch notes, click here.
Important: Please note that you will not be prompted to download patch 2.1.2 until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is in the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 2.1.2 is live until those regions have also patched.

- A message will now display in chat when a Treasure Goblin has been killed or escaped
- Players can no longer go Brawling while a Greater Rift they paid to enter is open
- The "Monster Kills grant X experience" affix is now multiplied by game difficulty

- Bloodmaw presented an unchallenging and unfair fight due to a combination of one-shot damaging abilities, stuns, and AoE damage. His Leap attack has been modified to address these concerns, but will trigger more often to make the fight feel more dynamic.

- Erethon has received minor changes to his dash attack. The AoE element has been replaced with a ranged attack to give more challenge to ranged characters.
- Rime
- Rime was an unfair opponent for melee players. The fight has been restructured so that his AoE can no longer overlap and the duration of each has been reduced. In addition, his ranged attack should be more threatening to ranged characters.

- Pylons
- Pylons are now less likely to spawn next to each other
- Conduit Pylon
- Now deals damage based on player Weapon Damage
- Now attacks a limited number of targets
- Will now attack the same target less frequently
- Shield Pylon
- Now reflects damage back to attackers

- Duration has been increased from 30 seconds to 1 minute
- Now knocks enemies into the air and deals damage to them
- Now breaks Waller for the full duration

This patch includes a variety of new features and content updates, including (but not limited to):
Ancient Items
- Ancient items have been added to the game. These items are more powerful versions of existing Legendary items and can be found in Torment I difficulty or higher by slaying monsters, spending Blood Shards with Kadala, and crafting.
- The drop chance for Ancient items increases with each Torment level.

New and Updated Legendary Items
- Over 20 new Legendary items have been added to the game! For more information about these items, click here and here.
- Several Set bonuses have been updated, including The Legacy of Raekor, Embodiment of the Marauder, Monkey King’s Garb, and Firebird’s Finery. These changes will be retroactive, which means players will not need to find new Set items in order to benefit from these adjustments. For more information on updated Set bonuses, click here.
Treasure Goblins
- New Treasure Goblins have been added to the game! Be on the lookout for the Gem Hoarder, Blood Thief, Odious Collector, and Malevolent Tormentor. These additions to our growing goblin family can only be found in Adventure Mode.
- All Treasure Goblins now appear standing next to a portal and have been given a special mini-map icon in order to increase their visibility.
Nephalem and Greater Rift Updates
- Players can now use the "Revive at Corpse" option while in Nephalem and Greater Rifts, but the associated respawn timer will increment with every death. In addition, and a result of this change, the "Revive at Checkpoint" option has been removed.
- Several improvements have been made to monster density, monster damage, and Rift Guardian abilities in both Nephalem and Greater Rifts. Many maps have also received changes to the way their layouts can be generated.
- Pylons found in Rifts and Greater Rifts have received several improvements, and are now less likely to spawn next to each other.

To update your game, please make sure you are signed in to either your PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are not required to access this newest update.
