Fullscreen mode on secondary monitor(1)Category: Technical SupportMay-4-2016 1:42 PM PDT (8 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong section.

I'm attempting to run D3 on my secondary display. The way I have my monitors configured is that my primary display is the laptop display, and the secondary monitor is connected via HDMI. My laptop screen is much too small to enjoy playing and so I'm attempting to play full screen windowed mode on the secondary monitor. I have not found a setting, either in the preferences, or a way to modify the d3prefs file to accommodate this. The best I can get is full screen with a border, which is, well, disgusting.

Does anyone know of a way to get this going?

I should mention that I cannot change the larger monitor to the primary display as that will mess up hours of desktop icon arrangement and customization.

Justeroo,

The game will always use the default primary Windows display. It doesn't have any options of changing that unfortunately.

Why not set the game to use the regular windowed mode and then drag it over and maximize it after it launches? That's probably the closest you're going to get if you can't change the Windows display assignments.
