Diablo III.exe Application Error(1)Category: Technical SupportApril-27-2016 7:46 AM PDT (8 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
The error message I get "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application"

So, I've deleted and reinstalled the game
I've scanned and repaired Diablo III
I do not see a d3debug.txt in the Diablo III directory.

I've played for many hours in this past season, I've no idea what has happened to make this occur.
The only thing I've done between the previous time I played and this error message was to install Overwatch. Which worked fine during the last stress test.

What can I do that I have not tried before?

Leorick,

Are you using the Battle.net Desktop App to launch the game?

Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Press Windows Key + R.
Type DxDiag and press Enter.
In the DxDiag window, at the bottom, click Save All Information.
Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save. (note where it's been saved so you can find it)

Locate the Dxdiag.txt file just created and open it to copy and paste ALL of it's contents into your reply.

Leorick,

That's good and it might make sense actually. I was just reading your thread and was about to suggest you update your Windows 10 OS to the latest available release.

Your initial dxdiag report shows the first commercial release was installed.

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10240)

Your latest is showing it's been updated

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)

Keep an eye on it and if any problems arise, I'd probably try an earlier Nvidia driver than the one you're using now. I'm still on release 358.50 here at work and don't have any problems at all. When installing them, use the Custom and Clean Install options. Just install the graphic drivers and none of the optional components. Do not install or use the GeForce Experience at this time.
