Janosik,

Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Press Windows Key + R.
Type DxDiag and press Enter.
In the DxDiag window, at the bottom, click Save All Information.
Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save. (note where it's been saved so you can find it)

Locate the Dxdiag.txt file just created and open it to copy and paste ALL of it's contents into your reply.

Janosik,

You might be running into a problem with your video card being so old but the only way to know for sure is to swap it out with something newer supported by newer drivers.

I'd also like to see your D3Debug.txt file now please. It's located in your main Diablo III game folder.

Janosik,

I don't see anything that would explain a problem with the game's video, certainly nothing that would carry over to the desktop after exiting.

2016.04.28 20:17:14.140735300 Opening Fullscreen Direct3D at 1920x1200, 32 bit, 60 Hz.

Current Mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (59Hz)

You have the game using the same resolution as the desktop which is good. I'd try the GTX 260 if you can though it's not really a newer card. It uses the same drivers as your 9600 GT.
