| I have been having lag spikes in Diablo III for quite a while now which can of course cause a lot of frustrations. Every few minutes the game will freeze for a few seconds and then it will catch up with itself. (Usually I'm dead by that time). I did some research and allowed all Blizzard applications free range in my McAfee firewall application and am still receiving the same issue. A ping test to my network card works flawlessly but when I ping test to my router I'm getting spikes that seem to coincide with my gameplay lag up to 1851ms. I am connected via Ethernet cable. I've already done the basic troubleshooting such as resetting my modem/router. | ||

| There are a number of factors that can contribute to lag in Diablo III. Were you able to try all of the steps on our support site?
