Fosters,

1. What happens when the crash occurs? Do you get any Diablo error messages, Windows error messages?

2. Please post the contents of your D3Debug.txt file. That file is located in your Diablo 3 folder.

3. Please also post the contents of your D3Prefs.txt file. That file is located in your Documents\Diablo III folder.

Fosters,

Let's try uninstalling the current video driver and reinstalling an older video driver to see if that helps. To uninstall the current driver, you are going to want to use a program called Display Driver Uninstaller. This program will ensure that all previous driver files are completely removed.

Here's a link where the Display Driver Uninstaller program can be downloaded.

Once you have that downloaded and installed, try the following steps:

1. Run Display Driver Uninstaller.
2. You will be asked if you want to reboot into safe mode, click on "No".
3. Select "Nvidia" from the "Select Graphic Driver" drop down menu.
4. Click on the "Clean and restart" button.

After the system restarts, the video driver should be completely uninstalled so the graphics should look larger than usual. That's normal and it'll fix itself when the video driver is reinstalled.

Now that the driver is gone, we can go ahead with reinstalling it.

Here's a link for the driver download: Nvidia Driver

When you are going to install the driver I would like for you to select "Custom Install" > Uncheck everything except for the graphics driver > Check the "Perform a clean install" box > Continue with the install.

Fosters,

If you have an Asus motherboard and have their AI Suite installed, try uninstalling it, rebooting, and re-testing the game.

Fosters,

It looks like you have two monitors, and you're running the game in full screen mode. Which monitor does the game run on?

Fosters,

Let's try running the game in windowed mode instead of full screen to see if that makes a difference.

To run in windowed mode, with the game closed, go into your Documents\Diablo III and open up the D3Prefs.txt file with Notepad. Then locate the DisplayModeWindowMode line and change the "0" to "1", save and close that file and try launching the game.

Let me know what happens.

Fosters,

No problem. If running in windowed mode doesn't help, you might want to remove the Dell monitor which has a higher native resolution, and try running just on the other monitor which has a 1920x1080 native resolution.

Fosters,

Diablo III is supported by Windows 10. Can you tell me the exact wording of the windows pop up you're seeing now?

Do you know of any fixes for Windows 10 been getting some errors on it . like crashing ... also got a new Video card on order with EVGA .. we see how that goes

That's hard to say. You were getting crashes before upgrading to Windows 10, so we can't really say that the crashes you are getting now are specific to Windows 10. Some of the crashes that you were getting were linked to bugs. Let me dig around a little more on those previous crashes, and see what I can find.
