Computer crashing when entering Diablo's Realm of Terror(1)Category: Technical SupportJuly-5-2015 7:34 AM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Good morning everyone,

My girlfriend is experiencing a crash (requires pressing and holding the power button to restart) when we are fighting Diablo in Act IV. We didn't experience any problems from the start of the game right up to this fight.

The first phase is not a problem, but when we enter the second phase (I believe it's called the Realm of Terror) the computer hangs up/crashes every time.

The computer is a Toshiba Satellite S70-B laptop with dual graphics. One for lower power usage and one for high performance usage.

The cards are:
AMD Radeon R9 M265X (for gaming/high performance)
INTEL R HD Graphics 4600 (low power usage)

When using the Radeon card, the computer crashes, but when we switch over to use the INTEL one, everything runs fine (but quality suffers).

She plays World of Warcraft on the laptop and has not experienced any issues at all using the Radeon card.

Hope to hear from you guys soon,

Have a great day!

You may want to try updating the Radeon drivers first, if you haven't already.

You can also try the standard crashing troubleshooting. If you're still having trouble, let us know the steps you tried and their results, and include some more specific information about the computer from the Direct X Diagnostic Tool:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field)
Hit Enter or OK

Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste the dxdiag file into your reply.
