[GENERAL INFO] Grimiku: Tell us a bit about yourself. kiza: I'm a dev lead for a company in Northern Virginia. I work with a bunch of great teams and it's totally a dream job. I'm big into fitness and like running and lifting weights. I'm also a big fan of MMA and Game of Thrones. Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents? kiza: I like to draw and paint. Grimiku: What is your history as a gamer? kiza: I play either FPS games or silly cartoony games. Grimiku: What are some of your favorite games? kiza: Unreal Tournament 2003, iBR Unreal Tournament 2004, ONS. Battlefield Bad Company 2, multiplayer Best games evah! Grimiku: What’s your history with the Diablo franchise? kiza: D3 was my first step into the Diablo franchise. Grimiku: Are you playing any other classes right now? kiza: I try out all the classes, but right now, it's DH, Crusader, and starting Monk. Grimiku: Are you in a great clan or community? If yes, tell us about them! kiza: I'm in a clan called Dragon. They're very professional, fun, and goofy. They're also a competitive clan, so they are interested in rankings. They also do these get-togethers every once in a while and it's a good opportunity to play with guys/girls that you normally don't play with. Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing? kiza: 4-man party and we're about to finish a rift, then horrible lag. Group asked for a DH to return back to town and I said, wait, I can still move, I can still move. They told me I died 10 sec ago. Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing? kiza: I was trying to powerlevel my old Barb to 70, but no one wanted to powerlevel me. To be honest, even I wouldn't want to powerlevel me. But one random person stepped up and helped me. It was a small act of kindness, but he carried me through. After, he asked if I knew anything about wizards... Yes, yes I do. |

[I'M JUST WARMING UP] Grimiku: What drew you to the Wizard? kiza: When D3 launched, I loved the disintegrate skill. It encapsulated what I felt the Wizard was all about -- just sheer unadulterated beam of dps. Grimiku: In displaying your battle prowess, do you prefer to burn, electrocute, or freeze your foes? Or do you prefer a mixture of destructive elemental energies? kiza: Of those listed, I prefer to freeze. When D3 first launched, it took me a few tries to kill Diablo. Then I saw a Youtube video where a guy (crude cm wizard) just stood there, froze Diablo, and killed him. It looked so game breaking and at the same time, so amazing. In RoS, a zdps WD can hold targets better, but cm wizards or permafreezing laid some of the basic foundation of current group GR strategies today. Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why? PLAYER: For wiz, Disintegrate, Chaos Nexus because it looks cool. For overall, my favorite skill is WD's Piranhas. Whoever came up with that idea did a great job. It fit that whole fantasy aspect of WDs perfectly. Grimiku: What build are you running currently? kiza: For wiz, I made this little build called Blizzhydra. I use a modified version for speed GR runs. Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about the Wizard, what would it be? kiza: Wizard needs to be competitive in group GRs. Either as dps or support. It should fill in the dps role along with DH since support has both WD and Crusader. I actually made a DH with some int gear from my wizard and killed a T6 boss in under 2 seconds, which would take my wizard around 10 seconds. Diversity of builds is probably second. Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Wizard should know. kiza: Time is short, have fun with the game. Grimiku: If your old masters could see you now, what do you think they would say? kiza: You got rid of CM wiz? Grimiku: Pick a Wizard quote! kiza: “If my old masters could see me now...†But my real favorite is "To me, you beasts! Let none touch me!" Hey, he's a wizard ... or was he a cultist? My first set piece dropped for me when he said that, so I remember it fondly. |
