PTR GR Pop-Up!(1)Category: PTR FeedbackMarch-22-2015 11:30 PM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
I'm sure I'm not the only player that feels this way about it. Why would blizzard waste dev hours working on a pop-up to let me know I just completed a GR. Was the little box that appears saying my exp and gold reward not enough? What annoys me the most is that the space key doesn't rid of the window like it does for all other windows.

Come on blizzard, whose fail idea was it to add a pop-up?

additional thoughts: If it was cleared with the space key I would dislike this pop-up by 50%. Maybe only have it pop-up for progression clears.

The developers do not see this as a waste of dev hours, in fact they think it is quite important to celebrate your performance in Greater Rifts by congratulating you on your new personal bests. It is part of our goal to better celebrate players’ individual achievements and not solely focus on comparing your progress to those of other players on the leaderboards.

Wyatt Cheng actually talked about this goal a bit in our latest Tavern Talk (around the 1:29:55 minute mark) - it is certainly worth checking out if you would like to know more about the philosophy behind the new Greater Rifts end screen.

That is constructive as well as valid feedback, so thanks for that. In general, when people don't like something, we really appreciate when said people take the time to elaborate on why they don't like it instead of just ranting and dismissing it as a "fail idea" ;-)
