So I own the game on the ps4 and I have yet to figure out exactly how loot sharing works with 2 player multiplayer. From what is seems every other item I pick up goes to the partner and the same goes for every item they pick up. Is this how it works or is it more complex than that? Also a 2nd question. Is there a way to keep the new skill stars from showing up on player 2 every time they log into the game?
If you look before you pick up the loot, you will see each item has a player tag on it. It will go to that player regardless of who picks it up. It sorts the loot by item type and stats to give int items to wizards and str items to barbs etc.

Loot sharing in local UEE games is more complicated than just alternating who gets what, but things happen so fast that it often appears to work that way. I'll briefly describe it a little more to help clear it up. :) If you look before you pick up the loot, you will see each item has a player tag on it. Yes! When an item is created for a player in a local party one of the things the game does is decide who that item is for. This assigns the loot to that person, and that means it's more likely to be appropriately tailored for that character's class, and will go to their inventory no matter who picks it up off the ground. This helps keep the action going, and reduces the time it normally takes to distribute treasure.

This is by far my favorite tweak with the UEE. Now I can play with my kids without having to negotiate a "no loot-ninja" rule.

I would really like to know the answer to that 2nd question, this is happening to me too and its a little annoying.
This loot system doesn't work at all though. My girlfriend and I played for an hour last night and my str gear was going to her witch doctor constantly, and vice versa. It is sort of a big deal because it takes SO LONG to go into menus and drop gear every time you get loot.

made the game less fun :(. The most fun part of console was racing to the legendary to see who gets it, wish we could turn it off for legendaries only

What factors actualy go to which player cause I'm playing with my girlfriend, she's a barbarian and I'm a crusader, and I get a lot more loot than her and we are very close to the same level. It just seems like an unfair loot system. Yes! When an item is created for a player in a local party one of the things the game does is decide who that item is for. My wife and I discovered this when we started playing, and it's so ridiculously handy to just snag everything and keep rolling! GREAT feature! [quote="139200493249"] Also a 2nd question. It is sort of a big deal because it takes SO LONG to go into menus and drop gear every time you get loot. Your first point may be a bug but to your second point, you can drop items from the quick equip thing. Press up until the item you want to drop is listed and hit the appropriate button to drop it. made the game less fun :(. The most fun part of console was racing to the legendary to see who gets it, wish we could turn it off for legendaries only Legit question, because my PS4 UEE is the first time I've ever played Diablo 3. Why does this matter? I was playing online co-op with my brother and a buddy last night. I picked up a legendary ring that ended up being a duplicate of a legendary ring I already had equipped, but with lesser stats. My buddy had no leg ring, so after I identified it and saw it wasn't as good, I dropped it. He was able to pick it up instantly. I've been reading the PC forums for about a week or two before getting this to try and determine which class I wanted to play as, and I kept seeing that legs were BOA. This doesn't seem to be the case on console. Or does the BOA only apply to level 70 legs? I'm only level 22 right now. Thanks for any help! Yes! The same screen loot system is why I'm getting another PS4, it's just so painful to go through with same screen coop, and of course the combat sucks on same screen too, because if you want to run away with low health you're both hitting the edge of the screen fighting with the camera.
It's good when you are just one shotting things, but in high torments when dying is an actual factor to contend with, it's annoying. because it takes SO LONG to go into menus and drop gear every time you get loot. Actually when you 1st pick up items - pushing up on the Dpad will bring up a quick menu and you can push square to junk and triangle to drop. (for PS4) It makes things way quicker.
I've had nothing but a bad luck on the PS4 version. Me and my wife played three nights in a row for 6/7 hours at a time and I've had enough of the unbalanced loot...treasure goblin after goblin all loot..I mean all goes in the wifes bag. Same with chests..it is so ridiculous was this even tested? And I feel like I'm back at pc launch when an epic drops its not for my class (yes I know about enchant but ya cant very well make a cloak fit a barbarian). 90% of yellows and epics drop with no major stat. Here I am 70 (and was still in 60 gear) and the only upgrades I have I've had to make...where is the fun when ya open a chest and you get nothing not even a gem?? or when the other person picks up 15 yellows before you get a blue? Fix this because it is seriously broken. This should have been an option you can disable.
