Hello and thank you for reading some of my ideas for the game.The following list is in no particular order, but numbers that have (*) next to them are the ones i deem most important.
1* Elemental damage on gear.
The problem:
Elemental damage on your gear limits you to that specific element which,depending on the current meta, renders alot of spells and runes worthless.
The solution:
Instead of having % fire/cold/lightning/physical/poison/arcane damage modifiers, combine them all into one %[ name] damage and place it in the same pool as the previous elemental % damage modifiers to avoid having to rebalance things or create new pools.This would allow players to use any rune they like without having to limit their choice based on a significant dps loss.This change would not stop „cookie cutter“ builds from emerging, but would add a bit of variety in the rune choice.
Example: 40% Fire dmg on gear would become 40% dmg and affect every type of elemental damage and physical.
2* Blood shards.
The problem:
A cap of 500 for a resource that drops 250+ at a time from high grifts is too low.
The solution:
Inceasing the cap to x amount.Maybe based on paragon level or highest grift achieved.
3* Firebird.
The problem:
There is no diversity in the wizard class at the moment and the main culprit is the Firebird set.It shares the same problem elemental damage on gear has as it limits the player to a single element.
The solution:
Instead of having fire skills triger Firebird change it so that all damge the wizard does triggers the effect.This would unlock every single spell for the wizard.
Now i know that Firebird is FIREbird,but just imagine the set itself ignites your targets when they come in contact with your magic.
4 Grater rift Trials.
The problem:
Fancy math.
The solution:
Just make the trial key equal to the wave you reach as i have discovered thats pretty much where i reach.
Not sure about group play though.
5 Jailer/Thunderstorm/Fire chains/Electrified.
The problem:
Instant cast,mosty unavoidable,deadly at high grifts.
The solution:
Add a marker where Thunderstorm is going to land after a given delay.
Make Jailer more like Diablo‘s jail, where a black spot apears on the ground and traps you after a short period of time.
6* Greater rift bosses.
The problem:
Alot of rift guardians are unfair to melee classes.Because of mechanics that don't allow you to stay near the boss.
The solution:
Not sure.
7* Automatic pickup options.
The problem:
Not much of a problem for people that take their time, but for players that value efficiency above all, having to click on stuff that drops in heaps is a chore.
The solution:
Add options to change wether or not you automatically loot: potions,gems,materials,etc.
8* Material drop rates.
The problem:
One would think that reusable parts would be the most common material to drop, my pack filled with vile crystals would suggest otherwise.
The solution:
Increase the drop rate of white and blue materials.
9 Target dummy / recount.
The problem:
In a mostly PvE game having a dummy or two where you can quietly test your skills and understand how they work is essential.
Recount like program so we can see what said skills are doing more in depth.
The solution:
Implementing a normal and elite dummy in a empty area in one town.(2 or 3 of each kind)
Implementing a recount like program.
10 Voting system to close normal rifts.
The problem:
The occasional d-bag closing a gobo rift.
The solution:
A voting system of sorts.
11 Ramaladni‘s gift.
The problem:
Not stacking.
The solution:
Make them stack.
12* Immortal king/Might of the Earth.
The problem:
Same as the Firebird wizard the Raekor barbarian is limited in the end game gear choice.
Altho unlike the Firebird the Raekor is fine the poblem is sets that buff a single spell require alot of other sets to be equaly awesome so you can have a choice.
The solution:
Immortal king- Change the four pice bonus to- Your Ancients gain every rune,last untill they die and for every ancient you have up your generators do x% more damage.Also an increase in pet toughness is need as in high grifts ancients die in seconds.
Might of the Earth- needs a survivability mechanic added and a buff to quake damage.
13* Other classes „secondary“ sets.
The problem:
Vastly underpowered compared to the „main“ set.
The solution:
Alot of rebalancing.If requested i could come up with ideas for each set as i did with immortal king.
14 Ranged mobs.
The problem:
With 2.1.2 grifts and rifts are crawling with stupendous amounts of mobs, which im grateful for, but make half of those kazra spearmen, skeletal archers, bogan trapper,etc. in a most of the time tight enviroment and you have on your head a disco of projectiles which in higher grifts two to three shot you.
The solution:
A decrease in attack rate would probably suffice.

These are what i would like to see change in the game.Please leave a comment below if i‘ve missed something important about your class or if you think some of my solutions are faulty/incomplete.

Indeed it is. There's some solid feedback here for sure, so thanks for that :-)

I do feel it worth mentioning though, that the feedback in this thread could just as well have been posted in the similar 'Some "Quality of Life" Proposals' thread ;-)
