Welcome, nephalem, to the Patch 2.4.2 PTR!

This upcoming patch features a slew of new features and items for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. For more information on the scope of Patch 2.4.2, please check out our latest patch notes here.

In order to help guide your testing efforts, we are currently looking for focused feedback discussions on a variety of topics.


To help keep feedback organized, we ask that you post your thoughts in the appropriate thread where applicable. If you have feedback that does not fall into one of the above categories, feel free to make a new thread!

This Focused Feedback thread is dedicated to revisions being made to Firebird's Finery. While we like the fantasy and intent behind Firebird's Finery, the old version was prone to balance issues and bugs. We've redesigned both the 4-piece and 6-piece bonuses to maintain the feel and fun of lighting everything on fire and growing more powerful in a cleaner implementation.

Here are the current bonuses on PTR:

  • (4) Set Bonus
    • Dealing Fire damage with one of your skills causes the enemy to take 1000% weapon damage as Fire for 3 seconds. This effect can be repeated a second and third time by different skills. If an enemy is burning due to three different skills simultaneously the enemy will Ignite, dealing 3000% weapon damage per second until they die
  • (6) Set Bonus
    • Your damage is increased by 100% for each nearby enemy that is Ignited up to a maximum bonus of 2000%. You always receive the maximum bonus whenever a nearby Elite monster is Ignited

Here are a few questions to get you started:

  • Are there any complimentary Legendary items you are using with Firebird's Finery? Which ones?
  • Have you noticed any unusual interactions with other Legendary items or Class Sets?
  • How do you like the feel of the new Firebird's Finery set? Does it feel similar or different from Firebird's Finery on live?
  • What's the highest level Greater Rift you have completed with the new Firebird's Finery?
  • Please provide a link to your profile or build
    • If you're using items you found on PTR, consider using a site like D3 Planner to plot out your character
    • If you are using an item that is new on PTR, please let us know!
