I recently formatted my computer, and now my diablo doesnt start. Screen remains black, mouse cursor changes to diablo cursor and i can hear the sound menues make. My game was running smoothly before reset and i can play wow and hots but same thing happens in HS if it matters. I checked forums a bit, tried lowering graphics or switching to windowed mode. Sadly didnt work for me |

Scarpinski, Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Press Windows Key + R. Type DxDiag and press Enter. In the DxDiag window, at the bottom, click Save All Information. Name the file "dxdiag" and click Save. (note where it's been saved so you can find it) Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? Scarpinski, Thanks, I have a couple of suggestions you can try. The first is to enable vertical sync. You can do this either in-game or by editing the D3Prefs.txt file. Just change Vsync "0" to Vsync "1" The second observation is your current AMD video drivers. I believe you have the latest AMD made for your card and operating system, but they're still pretty old. It's also hard to tell from your dxdiag if they're the latest or not. From AMD's page: AMD Catalystâ„¢ release 14.4 Display Driver version 14.10.1006 Release date - 4/24/2014 You may be better off trying to use the integrated Intel video due to issues the AMD drivers you're using can have. All of the Catalyst 14.x series drivers from AMD have problems in the game especially in the Desolate Sands zone.
