Anyone know how to actually download this little update today? Everytime I go to click Update it cycles through like its going to download and right as it hits "Initializing" it pops up with a box saying: Something went wrong with a file. We're not sure what caused it, so please try again or click the code below for more Information. (link to https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/cannot-access-or-modify-a-required-file-or-folder from code) I have tried relaunching the blizzard program over and over as well as follow the instruction from the site the error to get the same exact result. I have never had an issue with any blizzard game like this before today. |

Ernest, can you try deleting your Battle.net Tools folder? Once the above step has been completed, let's look to make sure that the Battle.net Update Agent is not running in the background: 1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Del to open the Task Manager. 2. In Windows 10, look under Background Processes for the Battle.net Update Agent, highlight it, and click on End Task. In Windows 8.1 and lower, look for Agent.exe, highlight it, and click on End Task.\ 3. Close the Task Manager and restart the Battle.net Application. Give that a shot and let us know how it goes. ______________________________ Technical Support: Sunday-Thursday, 12pm - 9pm Pacific Time How am I doing? || Support Agent Feedback

If the patch stalls out and does not continue on it's own, try uninstalling the Battle.net Application (making sure to manually remove some files from the support article) and reinstall the app. When you reinstall, it should locate your Diablo III install and pick up the patch where it left off. If the issue persists, let me know the following: What type of connection are you on: Your router make/model: Any security applications you currently have installed (firewall, antivirus, antimalware, etc): ______________________________ Technical Support: Sunday-Thursday, 12pm - 9pm Pacific Time How am I doing? || Support Agent Feedback
