Raffa #1175 | Horrible lag/rubberbanding on live, no lag on PTR.(1) | Category: Technical SupportDecember-17-2015 5:57 PM PST (9 years ago) |
I've already opened a ticket and posted a previous thread, but this is killing me. I really wish someone could tell me what is going on. I was previously at GR69 on my Witch Doctor and trying to push higher, but since mid-November have been unable to play on live without getting lagged out constantly. Consistent 300ms+ ping and huge lag spikes (even sitting in town I have 150ms ping). When I log on the PTR I get constant 60ms ping and everything is fine all the time. I recently went so far as too switch ISP's from AT&T to Comcast(150mbps connection), to no effect. I've also tested on a different computer at my office, which is about 4 blocks away from where I live and is on a different provider, and I get the same results. Clearly it's not my computer, it's not my ISP, and it's not even affecting me on the PTR. What the heck is going on???? Since the 11/17 maintenance this has been constant, and I won't be able to play next season if it continues. Does anyone have an explanation for this other than aliens? |

Hey Raffa, I see from the previous WinMTRs, trace routes and path pings you sent us there was some really bad hops being reported. It is possible that AT&T and Comcast may be going through the same hops. To see if that is the case please replay back with a new WinMTR. WinMTR - Download WinMTR - Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop. - Open the WinMTR folder and select the one corresponds to your version of Windows (32 or 64 bit version). - Run the WinMTR.exe - Type the IP address you would use to run a trace route in the "Host" - Click on "Start" - Run for 10 minutes then click on "Stop" in WinMTR - Click on "Export text" and save to a text file. - Copy and paste the contents of whole file here. |
