Welcome, nephalem, to the Patch 2.4.0 PTR!

This upcoming patch features a slew of new features and items for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. For more information on the scope of Patch 2.4.0, please check out our latest patch notes here and our Patch Preview here.

In order to help guide your testing efforts, we are currently looking for focused feedback discussions on a variety of topics.


To help keep feedback organized, we ask that you post your thoughts in the appropriate thread where applicable. If you have feedback that does not fall into one of the above categories, feel free to make a new thread!

This Focused Feedback thread is dedicated to the visuals of skill and legendary power effects in Patch 2.4.0. We're looking for players to provide us their feedback on visual noise. Specifically, if you've ever been playing through the game and felt like you couldn't clearly tell what affixes enemies were using against you, it was unclear where a source of damage was coming from, or a particular effect obscured your visuals, we want to know about it!

Here are a few baseline questions to get you started:

  • Are there any skill or item effects you use that you find obscure important information from yourself or others, like the presence of Molten or Plagued?
  • Are there any skill or item effects you have found when grouping up with others that feel visually offensive, blinding, or particularly distracting?
  • Have you ever been asked by another player to avoid using a skill or item effect because it obscured their vision? Please be sure to name the Skill, applicable Rune if any, or item involved.


Note: Unlike other threads, this Focused Feedback thread will be closing at 5:00 p.m. PST on Tuesday, November 24. Please provide your feedback on this topic at your earliest convenience!

Thank you so much for providing your feedback on skill and power visuals! This really helped us zone in on some of the largest visual offenders, and we look forward to sharing these changes as Patch 2.4.0 grows nearer.
