For players on Verizon FIOS, I had an update to share in the WoW thread and I'll mirror that here. Good news is that Verizon is aware and working on a resolution, just no ETA currently: Hey all, I wanted to provide an update that our Network Technicians received from Verizon. They are aware of the issue and are working toward a solution, but at this time they don't have an ETA they can quote for us. At this point it's in Verizon's court, and they're working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We'll continue to provide updates as we hear them. ______________________________ Technical Support: Sunday-Thursday, 12pm - 9pm Pacific Time How am I doing? || Support Agent Feedback

Has there been any update from Verizon to your company about this? Verizon's CS either on Twitter or via direct contact has been less than helpful. That was actually me on Twitter as well. ^^; No further updates from Verizon. We haven't received any proactive notifications and requests for updates are the same. We'll be sure to pass along any changes we hear. ______________________________ Technical Support: Sunday-Thursday, 12pm - 9pm Pacific Time How am I doing? || Support Agent Feedback

We post updates when there's something new to report. Unfortunately that's not the case. We're still being forced to wait for Verizon to address the problem which we've been told is one of congestion. We've also been told there are plans to upgrade hardware in their system but that there's no ETA as to when it will be done. I too am a FIOS user in southern Cal and I too have been experiencing the lag other FIOS users have been seeing. I've resorted to using a VPN service at home to play which bypasses the troublesome area of the connection. Now, this is my own personal choice and not something Blizzard can or will condone the use of. There are security issues using any VPN service one must consider as well as the possible complications the use might cause with one's Battle.net account. Our system may see the use of a strange IP address from a different geographical location on an account suddenly as a compromise attempt and lock the account for safety. This is perfectly normal as that's what our system does. It's a relatively easy procedure to unlock it but it can be seen as an inconvenience. Anyone wishing to use a VPN can do so at their own risk. You can not however get any assistance from Blizzard on how to use one or which one to use. When posting about experiences with a VPN, we ask you not to use the product's name as we do not allow advertising in the forums. Posts doing so will be edited or deleted. Repeated postings of this nature could result in forum privileges being restricted. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos |

As many of you have noticed by now, it looks like some routing changes were made and it looks like the issue has alleviated for many of us! We're following up to get some data from the service providers to back up how this is looking, but please continue to provide feedback on your experience now that these changes are in-place. If you are still experiencing trouble, please post your Traceroute/Pathpings so we can follow up. ______________________________ Technical Support: Sunday-Thursday, 12pm - 9pm Pacific Time How am I doing? || Support Agent Feedback
