I am based in the EU and playing on the Americas servers for Diablo 3. Whenever I am doing bounties I constantly get disconnected from battle.net, losing all progress and having to start all over again. I have done a pathping, as suggested by a member of your twitter CS team, with the results as follows: Tracing route to 12.129.222.10 over a maximum of 30 hops 0 Savage [192.168.0.3] 1 routerlogin.net [192.168.0.1] 2 cpc6-sgyl33-2-0-gw.sgyl.cable.virginm.net [80.195.251.1] 3 sgyl-core-2b-xe-213-0.network.virginmedia.net [82.13.247.61] 4 * * * Computing statistics for 75 seconds... Kil2, I'm not really seeing an issue in the posted pathping and tracert. Let's download WinMTR. This tool will run a different style of pathping which will hopefully give us a little bit more information about what might be going on with the connection. 1. Download WinMTR 2. Download the 32 or 64 bit version, depending on your version of Windows. 3. Run the WinMTR.exe 4. Type the IP address you want to trace in the "Host" field. You can find the needed IP address in our "Running A Pathping Test" support article, which mentions all of our IPs used for troubleshooting purposes. 5. Click on "Start" and then launch the game. Once you notice the connection issue, play for about 10 more minutes, minimize the game and click on "Stop". 6. Click on "Copy text to clipboard" and paste the results into your next forum reply. ***Please be sure to run a WinMTR for each IP address listed for your game and region. *** ______________________________________________________ I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Customer Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

This would definitely explain the constant disconnections that you are seeing from your end. The first hop that shows data loss is the second hop. If your home network has a modem and a router that are separate devices, the second hop normally represents your modem. If your modem is also a router, then the second hop will be the first hop into your ISP's local network. Either way, this looks like something that you are going to want to contact your ISP about. When contacting them, request to speak to a tech representative that is familiar with how to read a pathping, and then show them the WinMTR that you posted. Before contacting them, you might want to try a powercycle and DNS Flush, and then run another WinMTR to see if there is any improvement. If the data loss still shows up, then go ahead and contact them. Here's a support article with steps on how to do the power cycle. Here's a support article with how to flush the DNS. Once both of those are done, test out the game and let me know what happens. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Customer Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

Kil2, Sounds good, let me know what happens once they've made those routing changes and you've had a chance to test it out. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Customer Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |
