| Hi i am completely new in D3 and just started playing a week ago. I have a few question i hope someone here could help me out with. OK, so i started playing D3 and since i don't have anyone to ask or guide me through. I started with the PTR server not knowing that it was only for Testing. And noob that i was (and a bit curious) after a week i was already playing rift and grift when i decided to click the copy button from the character page thus deleting my PTR character. Now since i would start over again, i need some advice. I have been reading a lot and found out that Season4 is coming out (or is it out already) and i want to try it and make a seasonal character. My question is if i start a seasonal character do i need to do the Acts or i can just jump into adventure mode? Which one is more advisable. And is there any advantage in playing a seasonal char against a normal one? Lastly if i start playing now, and s4 starts, will my char be able to continue? Hope someone could help me out. PS And i am also in need of friend in game. THanks!! | ||

| Hey HiddenSquid, Welcome to the game and the community. You need to complete Campaign mode with a Seasonal or non-Seasonal character to access Adventure mode. Unlocking it in one mode grants access in the other as well. And is there any advantage in playing a seasonal char against a normal one? As Prosbloom mentioned, playing a Seasonal character in Season 4 gives you early access to a few Legendary items which are exclusive to the Season until it ends. You can also earn a cosmetic pet and portrait frames by completing Achievements in the Season Journey interface, and earn parts of the Conqueror's set by getting a Seasonal character to level 70. You can find more details on Seasonal rewards here. Lastly if i start playing now, and s4 starts, will my char be able to continue? You can absolutely continue playing a non-Seasonal character once the new Season starts. If you want to play in Season 4, however, you'll need to roll a new character. Oh, one last thing: if you want to keep your progress, you'll want to play on the live server, not the PTR which is designed for testing.
