Greshloc #1834 | Tried everything, still can't get my game to run well.(1) | Category: Technical SupportAugust-19-2015 1:05 PM PDT (9 years ago) |
Hello, I've been trying to get Diablo 3 to run well on my laptop. It's not the greatest laptop but it should be enough to play Diablo 3. The spec: AMD A8-4500m 1.9 GHz AMD Radeon HD 7640g 6 gig ram Windows 10 I have most things turned to low or off and I've tried most of the fixes on the support forums, and I've updated all drivers, but the gameplay is still really stuttery and choppy, and I'm not sure if I should just quit playing until I upgrade or try something else that I haven't heard of. Is the laptop really not capable of playing the game well enough? |

Greshloc, Please post your DXDIAG file (Not the MSInfo) so we can get more information about your computer. Here's a support article that will show you how to get the DXDIAG: Obtaining System Files Once you have the DXDIAG file, open it and copy/paste the entire file into your next reply. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Customer Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

Greshloc, Let's try uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver to see if that helps. To uninstall the current driver, you are going to want to use a program called Display Driver Uninstaller. This program will ensure that all previous driver files are completely removed. Here's a link where the Display Driver Uninstaller program can be downloaded. Once you have that downloaded and installed, try the following steps: 1. Run Display Driver Uninstaller. 2. You will be asked if you want to reboot into safe mode, click on "No". 3. Select "AMD" from the "Select Graphic Driver" drop down menu. 4. Click on the "Clean and restart" button. After the system restarts, the video driver should be completely uninstalled so the graphics should look larger than usual. That's normal and it'll fix itself when the video driver is reinstalled. Now that the driver is gone, we can go ahead with reinstalling it. Here's a link for the driver download: AMD Driver Once there, you are going to want to download the Catalyst Software Suite, not the Latest Beta Driver. When installing the driver, you should be given an option to do an "Express" install or a "Custom" install, I recommend selecting the "Custom" install. Once that is selected, uncheck everything possible except for the Graphics Driver and AMD Catalyst Control Center. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Monday through Friday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Customer Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |
