Hi Blizz, I updated to windows 10 today and keep getting a black screen with a blinking cursor. I have tried updating direct X I have tried turning vsync on and off in the D3prefs I have tried putting it into window mode in D3prefs I confirmed the graphics drivers are up to date (I'm using an R9 390) I tried using the Beta 8.1 drivers but they wont work and load windows to a black screen I have tried running D3 as the admin I have tried running D3 in compatibility mode for win7 and win8, I have also tried running the compatibility trouble shooter but I get an error from the battle.net launcher saying that there is an instance of D3 already running when I press the test button. After all this I eaither get a gray screen with a solid cursor or a black screen with a blinking cursor I have tried every single troubleshooting option I can find without any luck. Oh I have also tried multiple combinations of the troubleshooting options as well and still get the same issues. Edit: All other blizz games load from the launcher without a problem, just not D3 |

MrLunk, Could you please post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? It's located in the My Documents\Diablo III folder. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos |

hihihihihihi, Those driver files are not placed in the game directory by Blizzard. There was a user-provided workaround to an ATI/AMD driver issue that had you place older driver files in the game directory but it was never condoned or supported by Blizzard. With the release of newer drivers by ATI/AMD, the issue was resolved and now if you have the older files too, you'll experience a new problem. They need to be removed. ______________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time, Feedback? - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos |
