The world of Sanctuary is a BIG place, defended by hundreds of thousands of heroes each and every day. To help you get to know some of these fellow nephalem a little better, we've created the Fresh Meat N' Greet.

The Fresh Meet N' Greet is a recurring series of interviews featuring you, our community. A few times each month, we'll sit down and chat with six different community members, one for each class, and then post our Q&As right here in these forums.

Up this week for Crusaders: Arrent#1782

Read on below to find out more about your fellow ally in battle!

[GENERAL INFO]

Grimiku: Tell us a bit about yourself.

Arrent#1782: Hi, I'm Kyle. I'm 27 years old and a nuclear mechanic for the United States Navy (sound a lot more prestigious than it is).

Grimiku: Got any cool hobbies or talents?

Arrent#1782: Lately, my hobby has kinda been traveling. Last year I went to Anaheim (for Blizzcon), Chicago for New Years, and Washington DC. This year, I've already hiked in the Appalachians, and I have plans to visit Pittsburgh, Charleston, Las Vegas, and Anaheim again. I think a trek through western Europe is in the works for 2016. I don't think my lovely girlfriend Amy will mind that :)

Beyond that, I'm usually tinkering on something. My computer, car, new entertainment setup or playing vidyas.

Grimiku: What is your history as a gamer, and with the Diablo franchise?

Arrent#1782: I've been playing games since I was about 7 or 8. I remember playing games like Donkey Kong Country and Crash Bandicoot with my friends and siblings. But it was actually Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness and Diablo that really got me into games. I got the original Diablo as a Christmas present one year and I recall sneaking out of my room after bedtime to play a little longer each night. We actually had to upgrade our computer in order to play it too.

Grimiku: What are some of your favorite games?

Arrent#1782: I consume everything Blizzard makes, from Diablo 3 to Heroes of the Storm to World of Warcraft. Beyond that, Battlefield 3 and 4 hold a lot of good memories with friends. Same goes for the Borderlands series. Big fan of the Arkham series and the "Tales of" games too. Hands down though, Xenogears and Xenoblade Chronicles are my top two games of all time. Xenoblade Chronicles X can't come soon enough.

Grimiku: Do you play any other classes?

Arrent#1782: I actually beat original D3 Inferno difficulty with a DH and still play him a bit. I dabble a bit in Barbarian too.

Grimiku: Are you in a great clan or community? If yes, tell us about them!

Arrent#1782: Good ol' Institute of Derpology. It's the tag me and a group of good friends always play under. I've known them since high school and we still manage to at least go on a group vacation about every year as we all live in different parts of the country. We hit up Blizzcon last year and we're happy to say we're going again this year. Shoutout to Jim, Ryan, and Mik.

Grimiku: What's your most embarrassing moment while playing?

Arrent#1782: Probably anytime I die to exploding Grotesques :(

Or my quote choice down below...

Grimiku: Okay, what about your most AWESOME moment while playing?

Arrent#1782: So far, probably clearing a Greater Rift 53 at the time I did it. I think I hit #4 on the non-season solo boards with the clear, which I think is the most visible achievement I've accomplished in Reaper of Souls. Either that, or defeating Inferno difficulty Diablo back in vanilla D3.

[THE CRUSADE MARCHES ON]

Grimiku: What drew you to the Crusader?

Arrent#1782: I'm a sucker for Holy Warrior classes in any game. I play a Blood Elf Paladin in WoW, I just finished Dragon Age: Inquisition as a Templar, I was a Paladin in D2. The list goes on and on.

When the news broke that the Crusader was going to be the new class in RoS, I was sold.

Grimiku: What kind of Crusader are you: do you wade into the thick of battle to crush your foes or call down the wrath of the heavens from afar?

Arrent#1782: Nowadays, I'm in grinding in the melee pile, Sweeping for days. However, I played (and loved) the Blessed Shield build with Gyrfalcon's Foote and Jekangbord back pre-S1. Same with the Darklight plus Fist of the Heavens setup (except I couldn't play this for too long as the screen shake hurt my eyes lol)

Grimiku: What's your favorite skill (or skill rune), and why?

Arrent#1782: Phalanx + Bowmen. Using Roland's 6p bonus, Eternal Union, and Unrelenting Phalanx, you could have a permanent army of spirit chain guns. It wasn't top tier or anything, but it was fun for me to play with.

Grimiku: What build do you generally have the most fun with, and what makes that build so awesome?

Arrent#1782: On my main Crusader, Lightning Sweep. I've got another L70 'sader that is zDPS for group play.

Grimiku: What’s the next item you’re after, and how will it change your build?

Arrent#1782: Either a well rolled immunity amulet (Mara's is the most useful IMO) or "perfect" Hellfire Amulet. They'd effectively add more defense to my Crusader without sacrificing any damage.

Or, an Ancient Baleful Remnant so I can run around with a mindless army of killing machines.

Grimiku: If you could build a set around any Crusader skill, what would it be and how would the set work?

Arrent#1782: Blessed Shield. My friends and I call it the "Trash Can build" because it kinda looks like you're tossed trash can lids at enemies.

How would it work?
2p - Increase damage of Blessed Shield by X%. Enemies standing in your Consecrate take X% weapon damage per second
4p - Standing in Consecrate reduces damage taken by X%. Casting Blessed Shield reduces the cooldown of Consecrate and Laws by 1 sec.
6p - Consecrate is casted at the feet of those hit by Blessed Shield. Damage done by each Consecrate stacks.

Grimiku: If there was one thing you could change about the Crusader, what would it be?

Arrent#1782: Overall Wrath management. Our passive Wrath tick is too low, our generators kinda stink overall, and our spenders use too much. There's no fluidity in it like Monks or Demon Hunters. Or any of the other classes for that matter.

And pretty much every effective build for Crusader has to address this issue first and foremost, or the build simply doesn't work.

Grimiku: Pick a Crusader quote!

Arrent#1782: "Like chaff before the wind." Why...?

I always misheard my Crusader say, "Like Jeff before the win," and never understood what it meant. It wasn't until I toggled on the chat bubbles that I realized what she was saying. I still misquote it on purpose when on Skype with friends while playing D3.

Grimiku: Name one piece of advice that you think every Crusader should know.

Arrent#1782: When Indestructable procs, if you use Akarat's Champion or Iron Skin during the invulnerability, you can safely teleport to town.

[WHO'S NEXT?]

Grimiku: Which Crusader should we interview next?

Arrent#1782: Athiniel#1803

Grimiku: Pick a question to ask in the next interview:

Arrent#1782: What do you think the next D3 expansion will be about? What new class will it feature?

My bet is on it being in the Amazon lands with the Amazon being the new class.

Grimiku: Muggly#1160 asks: “What is something you found out in game that took you way too long to notice?”

Arrent#1782: You could change the icons for each stash tab.
