Storm #2686 | High latency and frequent lag spikes(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-3-2016 12:03 PM PDT (9 years ago) |
Hi, I'm trying to play Diablo 3 season 6 HC, but unable to enjoy the game due to high latency and frequent lag spikes. Problem details: The problem began when Season 6 started: 29/04. Very late at night and during early morning hours there are no latency problems. up to 1200 msec latency in town (solo game) up to 1800 msec latency in rift (solo game) Sometimes, clicking on loot items, chest, shrine, vendor NPC etc does nothing for several seconds. Running to the edge of "loaded map" - there's a blank zone beyond a certain line on the ground. Waiting by the blank zone eventually fills it with a standard addition to the area. Lag spikes of 3-5 sec are common, lag spikes up to 10 sec are rare. During lag spikes chat works fine, but it's impossible to use skills and nothing on the screen is moving. Country: Israel ISP: bezeqint So far I've tried: 1) Power cycle network devices: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/power-cycle-your-network-devices 2) Shutting down background applications (windows 7): https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/shutting-down-background-applications I disabled all non Microsoft services and disabled all startup items but it didn't help. Identifying the problematic service or startup item is not relevant because latency issue was not solved with all of them disabled. 3) Perform network monitoring: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/running-a-traceroute-and-pathping tracert to Diablo 3 Europe server IPs Tracing route to 185.60.112.157 over a maximum of 30 hops Tracing route to 185.60.112.158 over a maximum of 30 hops Pathping to Diablo 3 Europe server IPs: Tracing route to 185.60.112.157 over a maximum of 30 hops Tracing route to 185.60.112.158 over a maximum of 30 hops MTR test from Looking Glass for Europe, Diablo 3: MTR: Please note that trace rout show under 100 ms latency but in game latency is much higher. Please assist. Thanks, Storm |

Hello Storm, Thank you for providing the data. Have you contacted your ISP with this data? Because there seems to be a problem here 7 10 ms 11 ms 9 ms bzq-219-189-34.cablep.bezeqint.net [62.219.189.34] 8 * * * Request timed out. Which is most likely the same reason, why your pathping doesn't even reach our servers. Hello Storm, Thank you for coming back. Would you mind having a look at the thread here https://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/17611321732? And provide the data i ask for? As you all seem to be from Israel, with the same provider, reporting the same problem with the ISP, we might have something worth looking into and improve the situation.
