| Greetings, At approx 12:50PM CST today (5/14/15), I was kicked out of a solo nephalim rift run in Diablo 3 with a message "Unable to join channel. You have joined the maximum number of this channel type", along with the code "10017". Subsequent efforts to access Diablo 3 resulted in the same message being displayed, and I am currently barred from playing the game. I am able to log in to Diablo 3, and I receive all three "green check marks" of being connected to the server and authenticated. It is at that point the warning appears, and I am unable to switch to any other character, or access the game in any way. I opened a ticket and received a call back from Customer Support. I tried their recommended steps, such as changing my password, and clearing my file cache. They also 'refreshed' my account on their end. None of the efforts brought resolution to my issue. I was then told to wait 20 minutes and try to log back in. For sake of caution, I waited an hour. However, the issue has not been resolved. When I called back, they stated they had no further troubleshooting suggestions on the matter, other than I reboot my modem. I did that and it was ineffective. Furthermore, the issue was replicated using another computer at a friend's house. Both times my account was completely logged off the 'other' computer, so as to avoid any issues with my access being duplicated. Customer Support advised I post on this forum for further assistance, as they were out of ideas. I was told by the first gentleman that he had not seen this issue since Feb '15. If you could please advise, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time, and for a great (and usually reliable) product. 
I have the same problem as you, BlizzardCS told me to post here too. I tried the same thing that you did and still nothing...

Yea same problem here, and i don't think the problem is on our end.
This issue is under investigation. I've not seen any updates though so there's no news for us to provide yet.

| The developers believe they know the cause and are still working on implementing a fix. | Hey folks, We have some potentially good news! We just received word that a possible resolution for this issue should just about be ready. Once all testing has been completed we'll need to take the servers offline to fully implement the fix. We are aiming to have this done during our Tuesday maintenance this coming week. | Faustus, has there been any discussion about either extending the season or re-implementing the cow level, or both? Not that I'm aware of. I can try to suggest it to see if it's a possibility. | Remorse, Anyone's game fixed ? I doubt it would be. I cant believe. I WAS ABLE TO LOG INTO THE GAME !!!!!! That's awesome! I'm glad to see that you all are finally able to log back into the game.
