I could count in 1 hand the times i have posted here and I had enough with the server lag! I get 500 - 1.5k ping for almost 2 months now! Blizzard tell us if you still wanted to sustain online players or you're already tired of maintaining the servers since you already got the money....and not getting any more...

Mortarion,

Let's download WinMTR. This tool will run a different style of pathping which will hopefully give us a little bit more information about what might be going on with the connection.

1. Download WinMTR
2. Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.
3. Open the WinMTR folder and select the 32 or 64 bit version. Choose whichever one corresponds to your version of Windows.
4. Run the WinMTR.exe
5. Type the IP address you want to trace in the "Host" field. You can find the needed IP address in our "Running A Pathping Test" support article, which mentions all of our IPs used for troubleshooting purposes.
6. Click on "Start" and then launch the game. Once you notice the connection issue, play for about 10 more minutes, minimize the game and click on "Stop".
7. Click on "Copy text to clipboard" and paste the results into your next forum reply.

***If the support article linked above lists more than one IP address for the region you play on, please be sure to run a WinMTR to each IP address. ***

why do posts with vague, incomplete information get blue attention but the posts where people have already posted all the necessary info have not gotten looked at? It makes it feel like someone is better off getting help by being lazy and non proactive.

I agree - so much lag recently. Random spikes throughout - had similar issues on other games that was related to bad routing or overtaxed routes. I'm assuming there's no way to fix this. I have 50/25 internet and my speedtests are around 59 down 30 up. Everything else runs smooth and fast. i7 920 @ 3.8ghz, 16 gb ram, gtx 770, 1 TB Samsung SSD...

Yes, bad routing through overtaxed routes is indeed a major issue. Sadly it is usually the third party peering companies who run the backbone services. That means it is not an issue in your home or with your local ISP. It is also not something Blizzard has any control over nor do any other gaming companies.

Also, keep in mind that your speedtest goes to a different location than your game data. That means it may not be using an overtaxed route. Think of it as the difference between driving to NY vs driving to LA.
