Malick, Please post your DXDIAG file so we can get more information about your computer. Here's a support article that will show you how to get the DXDIAG: Obtaining System Files Once you have the DXDIAG file, open it and copy/paste the entire file into your next reply. Let's also download BlueScreenView. BlueScreenView is a free program that scans all of the minidump files created during 'blue screen of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one table. Here's a link where that download can be found: C-Net - BlueScreenView Once you have that downloaded and installed, open it and locate the most recent crash. Then provide me with the data located in the "Bug Check String", "Bug Check Code", and "Caused by Driver" columns for that crash. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

Malick, That blue screen error appears to be video driver related. Let's uninstall and reinstall the video driver to see if that helps any. Here's a link for the driver download: AMD Driver Once there, be sure to download the Catalyst Software Suite, not the beta driver. When installing the driver you should be given an option to do an "Express" install or a "Custom" install, I recommend selecting the "Custom" install. Once that is selected, uncheck everything possible except for the Graphics Driver and AMD Catalyst Control Center. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |

Malick, I'm glad to see that disabling those programs helped. The new AMD drivers install a program called RAPTR, which is supposed to help improve performance, but it usually ends up causing odd issues. That might be one of the things that you disabled. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |
