My guess here is that they're using the exact same code WoW used for its reflections, because it's the exact same bug. :/

I'm seeing this too and I can't turn off reflections either. They are turned on even though the options window has reflections turned off.
Which OS version is everyone using? I'm still on Mountain Lion 10.8.5.
Yosemite latest rendition.
OS X 10.10.3 - Might very well be specifically with that version as I don't recall noticing it on 10.10.2.

Same. Mavericks (10.9.5) on a MacFaux with a Radeon 6850. Reflections turned off by default, no change when I enable them.
We're aware of some water reflection issues, and our QA team has but in a bug regarding this. It should be addressed in a future patch. Thank you for your reports, everyone! :)

Just a heads up Glax, but the reflections aren't just around water. The act 5 cave type maps (the ones you go into from the swamp or battlefields of eternity) reflect textures like this even with no water present.

I believe this falls under the same issue, but I'll double-check and report back. Edit: Checked with our QA team and the issue is highly likely to be correlated to the same tech being used. Sorry for the lack of response here, everyone. Touched base with our QA Folks and it looks like this bug is still ongoing after a few changes. Our Dev Team currently has this assigned for work and I anticipate it will be in the next patch cycle. I've forwarded this thread up specifically to help show some of the concerns/frustrations; I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear more. |
