My Gigabyte R9-290-OC died on me and Gigabyte refused to fix it (long story, they say it was my fault: http://i.imgur.com/FTlJ1gl.jpg ). And I don't want to pick up a new card with the R9-300s just around the corner. Can I run D2x with my onboard video? I'm running a i5-4670k OC'd to 4.2ghz on a Gigabyte Z87 board. |

delslow, Your onboard should be the Intel HD 4600, which is supported by Diablo III. However, it's on the low performance end of the cards that are supported. Here's a benchmark comparison between the performance of your onboard, the minimum required card, and the recommended card: Minimum: GeForce 7800 GT vs Recommended GeForce GTX 260 vs Your Onboard Intel HD 4600 The Intel HD 4600 is the better of the Intel HD series, so my suggestion would be to try it out. If you're fine with it, run that until you're ready for a new card. If you don't like the Intel HD's performance, look into a cheaper card that you can keep as a back up like how Trinkah suggested. ______________________________________________________ I'm available Sunday through Thursday from 11AM to 8PM Pacific Time Support Contact Information Got some feedback? |
