Kerry #2307 | Constant Disconnects and Lag spikes for 3 days running(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-27-2015 8:44 AM PDT (9 years ago) |
For the past 3 days,i have been experiencing lag spikes and disconnections for no apparent reason. I have done a speed test and my ms is fine, nothing else is lagging and my boyfriend who is in the same room as me is having no problems. I would love a fast solution/reason to this as it is ruining my experience playing D3, as i cannot use my characters effectively as i lag all the time. Please help
same here but i haven't had a response yet either , just out of interest what ISP you use?
Its TalkTalk i believe. I can't think of what I can do to fix it, as no other games are lagging, to be honest its really baffling me what's causing it
For any Blues or MVP's who happen to want to help me, here is my traceroute

Hello,
The trace route you've posted seems fine, so there doesn't appear to be issues with the time taken for a response from any hop on the way to us, a pathping would however give us a little more info about this: battle.net/support/en/article/running-a-pathping-test Regarding the error, could you try updating your C++ installation, then see what happens: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003 Then see if that makes any difference? ___________________________________ Let me know how I'm doing! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Lurdlespor

I only got the error once, I went on Diablo after it gave me that error and had no issues except for the bad latency. Here is my pathping results

There appears to be an issue related to packet loss from this hop onwards: 3 37ms 1/ 100 = 1% 1/ 100 = 1% host-78-151-226-173.as13285.net [7 8.151.226.173] It indicates that something around this hop is dropping data, unfortunately it's outside of your personal network, but also outside of ours so we have no ability to influence the connection at this point. The only thing we can recommend is that you show this pathping to your network provider, as they should be able to look into this hop and advise appropriately from there. ___________________________________ Let me know how I'm doing! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Lurdlespor |

You could try clearing your DNS cache, the route your connection is taking may be going through a particular hop when your boyfriend's isn't: battle.net/support/en/article/ip-release-renew-and-flush-dns That would force your system to redetect a route to our server - but there's no guarantee it'd help unfortunately. That said, the only info we have to go on shows a clear issue in the pathping, and we can only recommend alerting your ISP to what's happening around hop 3. ___________________________________ Let me know how I'm doing! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Lurdlespor |

OK, well please test it further, and let us know if the major issues come back at all. You may also be able to further reduce some of the fluctuations just by checking these steps too: battle.net/support/en/article/network-card-support ___________________________________ Let me know how I'm doing! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Lurdlespor |
