Snow #1430 | the game connection has been lost your client has been(1) | Category: Technical SupportMay-13-2015 7:57 AM PDT (10 years ago) |
Hey, I keep getting this error message, doesnt matter if I try to create private or join a public game. "the game connection has been lost your client has been disconnected from the server"
Blizzard, HELLO?!
Hello,
Please provide the following information; ISP - Country - Modem (and firmware version if known) - Router (and firmware version if known) - Network device (Driver version if available) - Type of connection used (Wireless / USB / Ethernet) - Operating System - Security Software installed (Firewall, Anti-Virus) - https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/performing-a-traceroute https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/running-a-pathping-test The trace route and pathping can take up to five minutes to be completed. Try to create the files as soon after a disconnection as possible.
I have the same problem from today, yesterday I played dor 30 min before the maintanance and everything was ok. Now, everytime I try to play I got this error: "the game connection has been lost your client has been disconnected from the server". Whole day I try to run the game but I cannot, Blizzard you ruined my only rest day. Hope you fix the problem in 1-2 days or I'm gettnig my money back!
Can't run those race routes and pathpings, says I dont have the privileges for it. I'm the only user for this pc and don't know why I dont have full permissions. How to fix this?
Snow,
Search for cmd.exe. Right-click on it and select Run as Administrator.
It's greyed, can't check the box. I have recently installed a SSD and installed windows into that, maybe the old windows on my hdd (which I dont boot from though) is messing things up with the admin rights?
One more thing that I noticed now. If I close all web browsers etc, that use any bandwith, then the dc problem is smaller, I don't dc every single time I try to join a game, rahter like every 6th or so game. If I open, for example a twitch streams, it's 100% dc's when I try to make or join a game.

Any ideas guys?
Still haven't fixed this problem, would really appreciate some help, if someone is able to.
Same here ever since the maintenance - getting disconnected every few minutes, sometimes can't even create a game.
Tracert fails completely after several hops. Local hops all good. rebooting router and all other standard ts dont resolve it.
Hello all,
Without the information required by Doomie on #3 it's hard to know what happens in each case. It's also important that you run the tracer and pathping just right after a disconnection, otherwise it won't show anything useful. If you want to try some troubleshooting steps, this guide has some that are very useful: battle.net/support/article/611 ___________________________________________________________________ Got feedback about the support I'm providing?
