| I am a SC player with almost 540 para levels and looking to maybe start doing HC. Now I look at a lot of pples characters with good gear and at very low para levels and having multiple characters deaths. Does hardcore have a substantial amount of magic find or something? because for all these pple to have maxed out BIS gear I would think that they should have more than 200-300 para levels. If the magic find is boosted way higher on HC it might give me an incentive to play it. | ||

Should we tell him about the hardcore only vendor? We meet again, Belial... As far as why I play HC, I'll second what the others have said—it's that certain rush that comes from finding myself in near-death situations, with the knowledge that all my efforts are on the line. The mode encourages a more cautious style of play, which in turn influences the attitude and trust between the players in the community. I know that if a fellow clanmate is under fire, I'll go so far as to sacrifice my own character if need be. As I know they'd do the same for me. Both Normal and HC have their own pros and cons, and it's really just about finding what appeals to you the most. Give it a shot, Mazda! You may be surprised. ;) | ||
