|Please lend your voice to - Monk Not Fine|
Green security mean nothing when no one still play monk
From Strego thread: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/11763927132?page=1
This is the voice we want REPEAT for dev NOW. OPinoiin from Two month ago, turn TRUE so please use this as template for new feedback!
I completely understand your position and I quite honestly don't have an answer to it.
I never bothered to consider that my build being mid-ranged might be the entire reason it was viable at higher torment levels and that same thing may actually be ruining build diversity in the future.
I think we can lay down our swords for now. I will stop it with the "all is well" rhetoric and wait to see if all is actually well. Until you, I have had zero feedback of the "things are broken" variety with any merit at all. Your position is a solid one though so consider me swayed for now. :D
Thanks for sticking with me this whole discussion!
So, my official stance will now be -- I still think monks are top-tier for Normal farming (whether you care or not some people do) and fine for T1 farming (whether you care or not some people do). However, they may have some really serious issues in higher torment levels that need to be investigated before being called "fine".
These issues are --
Lack of ability to melee thus removing a giant swath of viable specs.
Lack of sustain at all outside incredibly niche specs.
Lack of real eHP in favor of "false" eHP from dodge.
Potentially sub-par performance as a mock-ranged class when real ranged classes out perform in every way.
Does that sound good? If not, keep the criticism coming!
