- These lists were calculated from the data of hundreds of thousands of Diablo III character profiles.
- The data was restricted to the following characters:
- Only level 60 characters.
- No characters who have unfilled skill slots; all 6 Active skill slots, 6 Rune slots, and 3 Passive skill slots must be chosen.
- Only characters who played in the last 30 days of patch 1.0.3.
- The most popular 1.0.3 builds are listed for each class, along with the four most popular variants of the primary builds. A build variant has exactly the same active skills, but slightly different passive skills or runes; the variants all have three or fewer changes in passive skills or runes, compared to the primary build. The popularity is listed for the percentage of characters who used a specific build, as well as the combined total of the build and it's four variants.
