Bonus Experience and Goblins on Ultimate Evil Edition

A week-long buff for the console, and changes and issues with patch 2.1

Diablo III - Ultimate Evil Edition
The Diablo III content patch 2.1 arrived recently on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 versions of the Ultimate Evil Edition. All Ultimate Evil Edition players will receive bonuses for a week of celebration: PS3 and Xbox 360 players will see a +100% experience bonus, while PS4 and Xbox One players get twice as many treasure goblins. Details about the bonus are part of the latest roundup of Blizzard Blues posts that deal with the console Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition.

Console Bonuses for a Week
The bonuses in the console Ultimate Evil Edition are live. Even though the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game did not receive patch 2.1, they get at least an experience bonus. The PS4 and Xbox One editions of the game do have the new patch, and double treasure goblin spawns until the 17th.

Patch 2.1 Differences for Console
When patch 2.1 was converted from Diablo III on the PC to the consoles, some features were not transferred. The biggest examples are Seasons and Ladderboards, but there are other small differences between the patch on the two clients.
Patch 2.1.0 for Ultimate Evil Edition captures most of the updates that were included in the PC 2.1.0 patch, which effect changes that the console supports. One particular difference would regard Seasons which are not included in the 2.1.0 console patch.

Edit: As Indhy pointed out, the fifth stash space did not make the translation. Console stash is a bit different from its PC counterpart as some item stacks go up to 1000 on console and items only ever take up one slot, unlike PC.

What about Kadala? I thought she would be overhauled?

No changes were made to the prices or drop rates of items. She did receive a shorter purchase timer cooldown though.

I know we don't get seasons, which is fine, but what about the Seasonal weapons, will we ever be able to get those??

So far, the only information we’ve offered is that the Seasonal Legendaries were not included with the 2.1.0 patch for Ultimate Evil Edition. You can be sure that as information about subsequent patches becomes available we’ll do our best to share that with you as soon as we are able.

Is there any reason why we did not get all the further updates that the PC got after 2.1? Are these minor hotfixes coming?

It’s our intention to continue to iterate on the console version as updates become available in the PC version. With that said, not all changes may make that transition, as was the case with Seasons or the Leaderboards. Although it’s our intention to bring appropriate updates over, there may be some delay between when updates are delivered for PC and when they are offered to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

So didnt 2.1 include the ability to compare socketed gemmed items with none sucketed gemmed items? How is this done on the consoles?

The “Compare without sockets” feature did not make it into 2.1 for Console.

Read on for details on some issues in patch 2.1 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Missing Items on Xbox One
Since patch 2.1 arrived for the latest generation consoles, there have been reports of missing Heroes and items on the Xbox One version of the game. The Diablo III quality assurance team is trying to track down the specifics of the bug, and have requested that players who see the issue report it.
[Update October 10, 2014] We believe we have identified the cause of this bug and are working on a forthcoming patch to implement a fix. Although we do not have an ETA to provide at this time as to when this patch will be available, the followings steps should correct the issue in the meantime:

  • Delete either instance of the duplicated hero in the Hero list
  • Back out to Press Start
  • Proceed back to Main Menu

Please note that these steps will prevent further instances of this bug occurring, but will not restore any items that were lost as a result. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and thank you all for time, patience, and reports.

--------------------------

Greetings everyone,

Since the release of patch 2.1.0 on Xbox One, we’ve received several reports from players noting that their Hero saves have been lost. From these reports, it appears that the issue is only affecting certain heroes’ inventories. Some players have also reported seeing a duplicate of their hero with newer items on the Hero selection screen, but cannot enter a game with that specific character.

If you have experienced, or continue to experience, this issue please let us know the following:

  • For those of you who can 100% reproduce the issue with a given character, if you quit out to the Main Menu (by pressing the Menu button and selecting Quit), and then go back into game, have you lost anything?
  • What console are you playing on?
    • What are your Language/Location settings set to?
    • What language are you playing the game in?

  • Is your console connected to the internet?
  • Have you recently moved your account or save data between consoles?
  • Are you playing in multiplayer games, single player or some of both?
    • If multiplayer, are you playing same-screen or multi-system multiplayer?

  • What type of in game activities were you doing previous to quitting/leaving the game? (Adventure mode, greater rift, Nephalem rift, etc)
  • What class/level are you?
    • What gear are you using? (A screenshot would be great!)

  • When you leave the game, are you turning off the console?
    • If you are turning off the Xbox One, do you have the “Instant On” and/or “Resume Games Quickly” settings enabled?
    • Where are you in game when you turn off the console? (Main Menu, “press any button” screen, In Game, etc.)

  • If you are not turning off the console, are you quitting the application fully?
    • Where are you in the game when you are quitting the application? (Main Menu, “press any button” screen, In Game, etc.)

Additionally, it would help us to have your Gamertag/PSN ID. Please note this is optional, and we will be able to continue the investigation without this information. If you do not want to share that info here, please contribute what information you can.

Thank you!

Follower Items Disappearing
Another issue involves Follower items disappearing. There was a bug like this before on the console, that was patched months ago, but some reports are popping up again.
Quick question for all of you: Had it been more than a few weeks since you had last played Diablo III in a single player game at the time you noticed you were missing follower items?

At one time, we had a bug that very rarely caused follower items to be lost upon exiting a game. However, we deployed a minor game update several weeks ago that should have resolved this issue. It's possible that you could have been affected by this from issue before that update was applied and hadn't noticed, either because you hadn't played since this occurred, or you had only been playing in multiplayer without followers.

If you are 100% positive that your followers had items and then lost them very recently (within the past 2 weeks), please go ahead and reply and let us know what the last thing you remember doing in-game before this happened.

Known Issues for Diablo III Console Patch 2.1
Here is the current list of known issues being tracked by QA for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the Ultimate Evil Edition. As noted in the second post, console players should make sure to connect to the internet regularly to get the latest patches.
Hello everyone, and welcome to Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition on console!

Below you will find are some of the most visible and commonly-reported Known Issues for Diablo III on Consoles. We ask that you please do not report any bugs that you see on this list, as we already know about them. We would also appreciate you advising other players to consult this list before reporting an issue.

As a reminder, this list will not list every bug that is active on every platform. What it is listed here are a select few issues -- chosen due to visibility and impact -- that are active and confirmed as bugs by Quality Assurance with verifiable steps and (in most cases) an expected fix. Just because a bug is not on this list does not mean we don't know about it! In addition, potential exploits and the like will never be listed here.

Please note that documented bugs may not always be fixed in the order in which they were reported. In some cases, we may not have a timeline for a when a bug will be fixed and some bugs may not be able to be fixed at all. If we are able to verify that a documented bug cannot be fixed, it will be removed from this list.
