Hotfixes for Patch 2.0.1

The first set of fixes roll out for the latest Diablo III patch (Update)

Diablo III Hotfixes for Patch 2.0.1
The first round of hotfixes has arrived to deal with some of the most immediate issues in Diablo III patch 2.0.1. As detailed earlier, there are a number of bugs and problems that the technical support team is looking into. The hotfixes so far take care of a handful of them, with another fix already in the queue.

Update Friday, February 28: The hotfix list has been updated further, mainly to deal with a specific Cursed Chest that was always spawning. Some players were doing nothing but going to that Cursed Chest over and over, for fast experience; that has now been fixed, so players once again have an incentive to explore.

Can someone tell me what they were? I noticed they aren't spawning anywhere it seems and there is literally no information to be found on it.

There were a few changes made to the Cursed Bellows, which is a Cursed Chest event that can spawn in the Halls of Agony:

  • The Cursed Bellows will now spawn randomly rather than in a fixed location. In addition, it now only has a chance to spawn rather than being a guaranteed spawn.
  • Corrected the XP granted by enemies spawned by the Cursed Bellows to more appropriately match their HP.

You can check out more hotfixes here (we also include upcoming hotfixes if there are any):

This is the current list of all hotfixes made so far, in patch 2.0.1:
Below you will find a list of hotfixes recently applied or coming soon that address various bugs or mechanic tweaks.

These hotfixes should not require you to download a new patch. Some of the hotfixes below will go live the moment they are implemented while others may require restarting the game to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch. Also note that changes to certain abilities will not be reflected in its tooltip until a patch is issued.

Last Updated - February 28th. Items with an asterisk (*) are most recent.

  • The Cursed Bellows will now spawn randomly rather than in a fixed location. In addition, it now only has a chance to spawn rather than being a guaranteed spawn.
  • Corrected the experience granted by enemies spawned by certain Cursed Chest events to the appropriate amounts
  • Reduced the amount of experience gained by lower level characters in high level games

There are some other issues that are client-based, and can only be fixed with a new patch to the client. We will likely see a fastpatch update in the near future, that makes small client changes to fix some of the most immediate bugs, so players can get into the game and slay monsters without any troubles!
