Keywardens Spawning in non-Inferno Difficulties

Blizzard Blues on a Keywarden bug, transmogrification, and more

Keywarden in Hell
The Keywardens can still spawn in difficulties other than Inferno, despite a change in patch 1.0.8 that was supposed to remove them. That is detailed, along with Auction House issues and other news, in today's Blizzard Blues!

Keywardens in non-Inferno Modes
The Keywardens in Diablo III are part of the Infernal Machine event, and in Inferno mode they can drop the keys and recipes that are required for that event. Since Keywardens are more powerful than standard elites, in Patch 1.0.8 they were removed from all difficulties except Inferno. Or at least, they are supposed to only spawn in Inferno. As seen in the screenshot above, sometimes a Keywarden can still spawn in Normal, Nightmare, or Hell difficulty. This has been worked on for a while, and will be fixed at some future point in time. For now, be careful out there, especially for characters in hardcore mode, when going through the Keywarden areas!
Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that we do have a potential fix for keywardens appearing in difficulties below inferno. However, I don't have any info as to when it may appear on live servers. Just know that it's in the pipeline.

Thanks for all the reports!

Bringing Transmogrification to D3
A popular request for character customization in Diablo III is letting characters change how their equipment looks. The transmogrification feature in World of Warcraft allows for characters to copy the graphics from one item to another, such as changing one pair of boots to use a different graphics for Diablo III footwear. This is something that the Diablo III developers have talked about for a while, and Grimiku jumped into a discussion of all the possible ways that such a feature could be implemented.
In WoW it's called transmogrification, and the ability to visually customize your character adds a layer of depth to the game that a lot of players enjoy. We think it would be cool to implement something like that in Diablo III at some point, but a feature like this has some details to iron out first.

We'd like to hear your feedback on some of the options you'd want to see in a feature that enabled you to visually customize your character. Some great examples of questions to get you started are: Would you like to have cosmetic slots on your character sheet? Would you prefer a system where you have a npc make an item look like a different item? Should weapons be included? Should weapons be limited to the same weapon types if they are included?

Delays in D3 Auction House Deliveries
There are occasionally long delays in an item being delivered from the Auction House in Diablo III; it can take up to 72 hours sometimes, or longer if it gets "stuck". A blue post mentions one trick that can help: sometimes buying another item helps push the stuck item through the queue.

What gives is the server slow or something?

Depending on the traffic at any given time, there may be varying delays. As stated here in the thread, sometimes buying other items can help the AH along to process those sales that are taking awhile to finalize. Personally, I'd recommend just waiting it out a bit longer. If it doesn't show up, please post the details of the Auction (name of item, which game region this was for), and also include the transaction ID#. Thanks!
