| I was just curious to know what other players' general drop rate for legendary items are? I have no complaint about the new loot or drop system. And is there anywhere one can go to see what the special affixes on legendary items do, for instance the Broken Promises ring that grants experience when picking up gold? I've been seeing and reading a lot about these new special affixes, but can't find a site that explains how these affixes work when applied to the game? | ||

I think that they do not disclose all the details of the mechanics on purpose. Perhaps as a way to encourage players to try different skills and properties and see how they work, by actually playing the game and testing instead of reading a guide on the web. There is more to it than that, but we certainly do encourage people to find things out about the game by actually playing it. There will always be people who will use guides and spreadsheets to help them play the game, and that is perfectly fine of course, but we like that not everything about Diablo III is immediately or easily discernible—We do not mind people using guides and such, but we would also like people to make their own experiences and ascertain things on their own by playing the game. I can't really decide if it is good or bad! This really depends on who you ask, because there are many different opinions on this. I can totally understand if theorycrafters and min-maxers think this is a bad thing, because hidden math can feel like an annoying missing piece of the puzzle to them. | ||
