| Hey blizz.. Why dont you guys create ros with more party membs than 4? And it would be awesome that you guys make the General chat the same as D2 just a main channel every country got hes own and that u see all the chars standing in it | ||

The screen is already overly cluttered with 4 players, it would be awful with more. Screen clutter is definitely one of the big reasons why groups are limited to 4 players. | ||

Consoles can't handle it, that's the only reason it's 4 players I know this is an easy conclusion to jump to, but consoles actually had no influence on the max group size in Diablo 3. Back in 2008 the developers were still experimenting with group sizes, but 4-5 players was always the numbers they returned to. In the the end the developers decided that 4 players offered the best experience, as it was found that having more than 4 players in groups was too chaotic with too many things happening on the screen, thus making the action too hard to follow. 4 players seems to be the "sweet spot" between controlled, orderly gameplay and fun and varied action. Now that I am thinking about it, perhaps this is the same reason why consoles are limited to 4 players as well?! | ||
