| So I recently reinstaled my Windows OS, and kept all my files on my D drive, which included Diablo III. I tried to play, but it got stuck on checking for updates for about 10 mins, followed by an error. After that I inserted my game disk, same thing, downloaded the client, again the same. I googled my error, tried everything other people suggested but still nothing. Every thread was about 6 months old, so I guess it is resolved by now. I hope someone can help me fix this. Thanks | ||

| Bloodysh93, tried everything other people suggested but still nothing This doesn't really tell me any of the steps you've tried so you may have already tried this but it's the most common cause for the issue you're describing. Could you try opening your Internet Explorer browser and then hitting Alt-F to bring up the File tab options? Check to see if "Work offline" is checked and uncheck it if it is.
