| Hello, i just started getting this error today after playing since the games release. here is what the game is telling me when i boot up: I am getting an error occurred resetting D3D. There was a problem with an authentication module (error 21). please help in this ty. | ||

| Paunche, Can you post some information about your computer? You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. Could you also post your D3Prefs.txt file? | Paunche, Do you have a way to connect the monitor via a DVI connection instead of HDMI? Your dxdiag info is indicating a possible handshake problem as it doesn't seem to be able to pick up the monitor information. You might also try seeing if playing in windowed mode lets it start without an error. To do that outside the game, edit the D3Prefs.txt file when the game is closed.
