Error 3003(1)Category: Technical SupportAugust-13-2013 3:54 PM PDT (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
So, I played Beta as well as the trial version. Neither of which ever gave me the slightest issue. Until a month or two ago. I tried logging in, and was met with Error 3003. I thought nothing of it at the time, figured the servers had to be down and I didn't want to simply play trial anyway. Was planning to buy the full game for my birthday, so it didn't matter much. Yesterday I did just that, uninstalled my old client and reinstalled fresh. I went through the full installation, and then launched. Entered my password, same error. I figured it might be the fact my game hadn't completed purchase yet, so I waited all night but during that time did all the things the help pages told me to. I:

Opened my firewall to all ports it asked me to.

Ensured the program was allowed in both my firewall and Windows Defender (antivirus).
Updated Flash on IE and updated IE.

Ran 'selective startup' and removed all programs from running at startup, and restarted.

Restarted my Modem (I'm on Ethernet and no other program was having connectivity issues and my speeds are as high as they can be for my package so I doubt it's an issue there).

    Perfomed a DNS flush,

And finally performed a complete uninstall and reinstall, during this time I looked for the Battle.net folder that was supposed to be in my 'shared' or in 7's case 'Public' and instead I found it in ProgramData. Deleted it when I fully reinstalled. Deleted every file containing the word 'Battle', 'Blizzard' or 'Diablo' that weren't linked to my copy of Diablo II.

I also checked server status every time, and it was always up. Finally the purchase went through at nearly 8 CST last night, and so I once again tried. Didn't work, and moreso than that when I came to the Technical Support forum, it stated I was a trial account and couldn't create a topic. I checked my Diablo version and it stated I had a Starter version, instead of Standard. I decided I'd wait and see if things just needed time to be cleared, and went to bed. Just found that I'm now fully Standard edition AND forum access had been granted. So I tried one last time with no avail. I'd like to know if there's anything else I could do? What's worked for other people?

Thank you for your time.

Amberlyn,

Can you post your D3Debug.txt file? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file.
