This is just a little story to maybe prevent the loss of items that i have been objected to, by faulty game mechanics, and stupidity.

i was in game with my girlfriend on my wizard, and i was thinking about attack speed breakpoints.
i wanted to try my barbarians tal's chest and inna pants on my wizard to see what the attack speed would achieve breakpoint wise.
so i left the lobby (stayed in party, my woman stayed in the game)
got on my barb and entered the lobby my woman was in, without leaving the party.
i put my chest, and legs on the ground, thinking i should be safe, or rather not thinking at all about using my stash like i should have.
so i left the lobby again (stayed in party, my woman stayed in the game)
and went onto my wizard again,
then i joined the lobby again, still without leaving the party, and my items were not there ( i would assume its because of the marquise gems that they did not stay on the ground, in the same lobby, even though the lobby was not closed.)
and i didnt leave the party at all.
so i was like what the eff. i went back to my barb and joined the lobby, and the items i dropped off him, were also not on the ground.

so i aprox lost 1.5 billion gold in items, due to this stupidity, of company, and self.

do not let this happen to you, because blizzard will not replace the items, because its "my fault"

and also will not roll my account back because i did not get "hacked"

oh joyous multi million dollar company, how your customer service makes me so happy, you duplicate items for chinese people to make money off, yet when i lose my items half your fault/half my fault, i get nothing. just a sluff off "oh its your fault".

sad days, sad days.

Hey sLimRyda,

I'm sorry to read that you lost some good gear. To be clear, we always try to be as transparent with our policies through our support articles so that our community knows what we can and can't assist with. In regards to this specific issue, here's the posted information regarding Diablo III restorations.

Of particular note: "Customer Support cannot assist in restoring sold, destroyed, or lost items. Items that are salvaged for crafting materials are permanently destroyed."

Now, that's not to say that the functionality of the game won't ever change or that our policies won't also likewise be amended in the future, but as of now - this is how it is for item restoration requests. Again, I am sorry to read you lost the gear and do hope that you find even better stuff in the near future!

i tried to craft chests, and made the amazing centerpiece my barb is wearing. :D
