| Hi, I have been through technical support multiple times with this problem has anyone else out there encountered it? I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card with a Realtech HD sound chip on the MSI mother board. For some reason the gamelocks up at some point (some times days later) when I use the Bola Acud Strike with my DH character. I can use any other Bola shot or weapon no problem. From what I can gather myself I think it is a Realtech is the problem as the chip has no real support and latest driver is old. I have updated the Nvidia driver as they became available 3 times with the last time being 7-1-13, but no joy every time. The only difference was I think the sound of the Acid Strike endless loop of sound went down in volume from the first time it did this. I did update the Realtech drive the first time this happened, but there has been no new drive since. Has anyone else had this problem? Like I said support has been unable to help me and suggested I post question here in forums. Only problem I see is that forums does not notified you when someone replies, so I doubt I will ever see the reply unless it is done within a few days.Thanks for any help in advance. | ||

| Shorts2tight, I was able to pull your dxdiag info from your support ticket so there's no need for that but I would like to see your D3Debug.txt file, taken right after you experience the issue. The file is located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file. If you happen to have a USB headset available, I'd try using it for a while and see if you can reproduce the issue, though really, I've never seen or heard of any compatibility issues with the Realtech Audio you're using. You also asked in your ticket if we could recommend a sound card. | Shorts2tight, I'm not seeing any errors listed in the D3Debig files, nor do I see where you've tried using a different sound device yet. | Shorts2tight, I'd hate for you to have to spend any money just yet as we're still just troubleshooting and there's no guarantee we're even dealing with a sound issue really. Perhaps you have a friend with a sound card or headset you could borrow temporarily? Or a friend that also plays the game that would let you try playing your Demon Hunter on their PC to see if the problem happens there as well? I was able to find a few entries in our internal bug database from about a year ago with similar symptoms reported but our QA Team was never able to reproduce it.
