What do you mean "no endgame"?(1)Category: GeneralJanuary-23-2014 4:08 AM PST (9 years ago) Go to Blizzard forum post
Lately I've seen lots of whining regarding "the lack of endgame" and similar in D3. And I have to ask, what do you mean no endgame? Paragon leveling and MP farming is the endgame of Diablo 3 and it works just fine. There are also the Uber bosses.

When my Demon Hunter first entered Inferno difficulty, she had ~8k hp and did ~10k dps. I had to really struggle to survive on MP 0, but I kept going because I knew good drops where just around the corner. And I got upgrades fairly fast, most notably through crafting at first. Pretty soon I had doubled her HP and DPS and I thought maybe it was time to try MP 1. I got horribly slaughtered. I went out into the Weeping Hollow and ran into a pack of Scavenger Elites. I couldn't even touch them and what happened next can only be described as corpsecamping - by monsters.

But I kept increasing my Paragon levels and stacking MF and eventually I could farm MP 1 with ease. Soon afterwards I had jumped to MP3 and thereafter MP5. Eventually I couldn't resist starting to level a Barbarian because I had found so much awesome stuff for barbs. IK belt and gloves and a number of cool weapons.

When my barb reached level 60 he could jump to MP5 almost immediatly thanks to the gear farmed by my DH. The other night I found a good Mempo and was able to jump to MP6. And I'm having alot of fun! The only thing that's wrong with the current system is that the legendary drop rates are a tad too low. It needs to be increased slightly, and only slightly, and the game will be awesome.

So what is all the crying about? Diablo 2 wasn't much different.

Well I think the answer to this question is tied to the answer of another question: What is endgame for you?, which is a question I asked not so long ago in another thread.

What constitutes endgame is very much in the eye of the beholder, and those who think that endgame is something different than what is currently offered in Diablo III or RoS will naturally post their endgame concerns on these forums.
