| Recc42, Your crash is suggesting a possible problem related to the video drivers. Could you try using an older, known stable release instead of the latest you have now? 306.97 - http://www.nvidia.com/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-306.97-whql-driver.html When installing them, use the Custom and Clean Install options, installing just the graphic drivers and none of the optional components. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| destroyer, Can you post your D3Debug.txt file right after the game crashes next time please? It's located in the main Diablo III game folder. Edit out your account name first though. It's going to appear in a few places in the file. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| destroyer, I assumed since you say you have the same problem, you would have read the entire thread first before posting? I need to see your D3Debug.txt file right after the game crashes the next time so I can see what was going on with the game and see the crash info. The file is just a text file located in your Diablo III game folder. Open it with an editor like Notepad and copy the contents, then paste the contents here in your reply. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| destroyer, When you play Diablo III, a file is opened up that logs everything as it happens while playing. This file is called D3Debug.txt and it's kept in your Diablo III game folder. To get to this folder if you don't know where it is, you can right click on the desktop icon you use to start the game and select the "Open file location" option. You'll see all of the game files here including the log file "DeDebug.txt". Do this the next time you crash, then double click the file and it ought to open. If it asks what program to use to open it, select Notepad.exe which is a text editor that comes with Windows. When you see the file's contents, hit Control-A to select everything, then Control-C to copy it all to your Windows Clipboard. Then go back to the forum and reply to this thread. Hit Control-V to paste the contents of the clipboard into your post. That's about as detailed as I can get in describing what I need. If you still have problems understanding, see if you can get a friend who knows about computers to help you post the information. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| destroyer, Your D3Debug file says you're using Windows XP 64 bit. 2013.07.16 16:18:36.686773600 Diablo III Release (No Assertions) running under Windows XP-64 SP3 (Version 5.1.2600) However, in one of your recent support tickets in which you sent in your dxdiag info, I see you actually have Windows 7 64 bit. Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533) This indicates you probably have the game and/or launcher set to use a compatibility mode which you need to remove. Right click the desktop icon you use to start the game and select "properties", then click the Compatibility tab. Make sure none of the options under that tab are selected. If you needed to uncheck any, re-try the game again afterwards. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Eredas, just a solid color on the monitor, At first glance, this is indicative of a video card problem. While collecting the logs which I suspect won't rally show us much, can you also check the temperature your video card is reaching while playing? Download and run HWMonitor from: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.23-setup.exe Now start the game and let it run several minutes. Then exit or alt-tab out and see what the highest temperature is that was reached for the gpu. I'd also like to see your dxdiag info please. You can find this information in the Direct X Diagnostic Tool: Click on Start Click on Run Type in: dxdiag (In Vista, type dxdiag in the search field) Hit Enter or OK Click on the Save All Information button at the bottom, and create a dxdiag text file, and copy and paste it ALL here. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Eredas,, Most games don't give me trouble Does this mean some besides Diablo III do? All I see in your dxdiag info really is that you haven't updated your Windows 7 to Service Pack 1, which means you may not have been updating all? Run Windows Update a few times until you've updated and aren't getting any more recommended fixes listed. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos [Post edited one time, last edit by Omrakos at July-18-2013 2:09 PM PDT (9 years ago)] | ||

| Eredas, "System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name" Is your computer custom built or a name brand model? If it's custom built, does the motherboard manufacturer state on their support site that it's Windows 8 compatible? Did you download and install the motherboard chipset drivers they offer if applicable? Are you sure the Windows 8 you're using is a genuine retail copy? Not being able to run Windows 8 suggests a problem that's going to need to be resolved before going any further with troubleshooting applications. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||

| Eredas, Sorry about that, I must have just been looking at another dxdiag when I mentioned the OS being Windows 8. Still had it on my mind when posting in here. _________________________________________________________ I'm available in the forums Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 8 pm Pacific Time Please provide feedback! - https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Omrakos | ||
